Mike Pierce

Michael comes from a Family of both Veterans and First Responders. Michael himself is a 20-year retired Navy Senior Chief Petty Officer, while his brother spent 26 years In the US Army and is a retired Warrant Officer, who is still serving the community as a Federal Agent. In addition, their father served for 8 years in the Marine Corp. Michael, his brother and father are all Disabled Veterans. Michael also has a son that is a Marine Corp Veteran and is currently a DOD Firefighter and a Sister that is a Nurse Practitioner. Michael is committed to giving back to his fellow brothers in arms and first responders. Defenders’ Retreat at Silver Point in Silver Point, TN was purchased by Michael years ago and this 259 Acre parcel is now being transformed into a place where Veterans will have a place to utilize that will provide them with the help needed to get back into the civilian workforce. In addition, Defenders’ Retreat at Silver Point will provide a place where people can come relax, enjoy family outings, camp, listen to live music, and mingle with Veterans and First Responders. A portion of the proceeds from all of the events will go to help better the lives of our Veterans and First Responders.
Charles (Butch) Wyatt

Butch is a retired (26 year) Navy veteran with a disability. He did four deployments to the Middle East/Far East, along with one European deployment and one North pacific deployment. He is married with 3 daughters and one son. He's from southern Indiana and currently has a business there along with his three brothers. After spending 26 years in the Navy, he worked as an Aircraft Power plant mechanic and as a project production engineer on the Blackhawk and Apache helicopters training systems for E-Systems. He has also worked as a project estimator/Manger and qualifying agent for a commercial construction company.

Judy has been married to Bob Parliment for 45 years. She raised 3 boys and spoiled two grandboys and one granddaughter. She has worked in manufacturing for 25 plus years in Purchasing, Scheduling and Planning. As well as Customer Service. She understands Supply and Demand and wants nothing more than to supply “Heros on a Mission” with the best of the best and Help to Support All our Veterans active and retired as well as all our First Responders. Douglas Lee

Doug is a Vietnam Era Veteran who spent his time aboard SSB(N) 641, the USS Simon Bolivar, which he took through the Polaris to Poseidon conversion. He toured and received his dolphins as members of both the Gold and Blue crews with the Polaris to Poseidon conversion and several sea trials between those tours. His father served honorably as a Marine during WWII ‘Repairing the Unrepairables’ while stationed on Midway. Two of his brothers also served honorably as Vietnam Veterans, Charlie chose the Army, John chose The Marines, and George was exempt for medical reasons. Doug also has three sisters. Doug has volunteered and supported other organizations including for the Cottontown Volunteer Fire Department as a Firefighter and First Responder from 2014 to 2023. He is now proudly serving The Team at Heroes On A Mission and Defenders Retreat in support of Our Active Military, Veterans, and First Responders in whatever way he can. Rick Broyles

Rick was born in Stuttgart, Germany and was an Army "brat" his whole life. His dad retired after 25yrs of service as a full Colonel. Rick started R&R Productions, a film & video company, over 30 years ago. Filming many concerts and interviews for various Music Hall of Fames and documentaries. He has managed the Ghost Riders Band, former members of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Marshall Tucker Band, Outlaws, Pure Prairie League, Blackfoot and the Allman Brothers bands. He is the Operations Manager for Coastal International. covering Tennessee, Kentucky and Mississippi. The Broyles family’s roots are early pioneers of Tennessee and hold true to the Volunteers motto of doing what it takes to take care of others. Taking care of our Active and Retired Veterans and first responders comes naturally.

Bob comes from an Army Family. Born in Hopewell Virginia on 12-2-53. His family traveled from Virginia to Tennessee and then California. Bob's father was in the Army and spent his tour in Germany as a Cook. Therefore, Bob's love of Food! Bob enlisted in 1970 into the Army and was sent to Germany. He was a Combat Engineer and was ready to be sent to Vietnam, but that was not in God’s plans, they started pulling our troops out and he finished his tour in Germany. He was Honorably discharged in 1973 as an E2. Father of 3 strong willed boys and two sports minded grandsons and a lovely granddaughter. Since his discharge Bob has spent much of his time in Construction, everything from plastering, drywall, framing and cement work. He holds a CDL and can operate any piece of equipment you put in front of him. He has really enjoyed working with Mike Pierce helping him work on his “Defenders Retreat” property bringing it up to snuff for all our upcoming events. He too is committed to giving back to all his fellow brothers in arms and all our first responders.
